Rosacea / flushing / facial redness treatment report from: ChrisUK

Would they recommend this: Yes

TreatmentType: Photoderm, view reports of all Photoderm treatments

Details: I had 5 treatments in total, with 3 week intervals between each. I would not describe my flushing as the most severe of cases, but I could see that it was getting worse as the years progessed, so wanted to do something about it. The treatment hurt a lot more than I thought it would, but as they say, no pain, no gain. I was left slightly red for a couple of hours after treatment. It was not an all over redness, but occured in the area's where I flushed the worst. For the first few treatments my face was also swollen slighty for a few days afterwards - but most people did not notice. On the 3rd and succesive treatments I had to try and induce a flush. The topical niacin Dr Patterson applied did not do much for me, so on the 4th and 5th visits I consumed some alchohol, prior to the appointment, and jogged around the car park - I must have looked quite a sight. The results have been great and I don't regret a penny spent. I am no longer getting flushing from stress, alcohol (which I have redued anyway) or from eating hot food. My skin looks great too. I plan to go back every 6 months for top up treatments as I am well aware that with my very delicate, fair skin, it is prone to broken veins and redness. The Agera products Dr Patterson recommends are great too. I am using the nanoemulsion serum, IGF Derma Matric Nanogel (which is really very good) and the Prolifersyn 60. They are not cheap, but I feel investing in my skin is worth while.
