After a while it became evident that treatment with this machine, for some reason (and we don't know why), just wasn't having any effect. I was so disabled by my Rosacea at this point that I was completely determined, whatever the cost, to keep trying. Not only was my life severely restricted by the disease, I had also been signed off work and was throroughly miserable. Treatment started with the Quantum at the end of Nov 2005. Desperate to get better as soon as possible, I had five treatments as close together as is safely possible. After the first two I had a small but definate improvement. It wasn't until about two weeks after the third one that everything started to change. Suddenly I could eat thermally hot food again without having to sit infront of a fan. I could drink wine and I could also begin to tolerate temps. above about 68 degrees - all these things I could do for the first time in ages. It felt like a miracle had occured. After the fourth treatment, again there was a marked improvement. Curious to know if it was possible to achieve more, I went back for a fifth and again have seen improvement. I'm not completely clear, but, hey - Who cares!? I have my life back, am able to do things with my kids and my partner and am now back at work. Rosacea has a fairly minimal impact upon my life now. All in all, this treatment has literally saved my life. I couldn't have spent the next forty or so years living like I did for nine months of Rosacea Hell. The money I spent at Woodford was worth every penny and more and if I had had to remortgage my house to do it, I would have done. On a final note, I can't recommend the treatment or the staff at Woodford Medical enough. Dr. Patterson really knows his stuff and is honest about the prospects of treatment and possible outcomes.
